Religrast (filgrastim) injection is used to stimulate bone marrow to produce more white blood cells (WBCs) to fight infection, primarily for cancer patients on chemotherapy, those with low WBC counts (neutropenia), acute myeloid leukemia, bone marrow transplants, or radiation exposure, and to help prepare blood for leukapheresis. It's a growth factor (G-CSF) that boosts immunity, preventing serious infections by increasing infection-fighting cells.
